Hundreds pack Civic Center to help others
More than 700 guests packed the Bossier Civic Center Saturday night for Nest Fest 2010. The evening was filled with catered food, live music and auctions to raise money for the Renesting Project, a non-profit volunteer organization that provides furnishings and reclaimed furniture to all social service organizations that help the homeless establish a new home or apartment.

Before her death, Lauren Colvin was a graduate of LSU in Baton Rouge and was planning to attend graduate school for social work. Her parents, Jay and Susan Colvin, say it was her desire to help others and have decided to continue her work in the community.
